Intercoin has interactivity mini-ledgers that will power community coins and local fintech for various interoperable distributed ledger technologies in each sidechain of Intercoin. This architecture is far more effective for voting than just Blockchain based protocols like Holochain or MaidSAFE. Not that they wouldn’t be good enough for voting on. But would lack the infinite possibilities of local fintech to optimize and secure voting.

To be fair @Jason MaidSAFE also has mini-ledgers. They’re building a system more for file storage, not financial applications. Holochain has centralized components. Those projects are evolving, though, for example MaidSAFE has seemed to go away from non-divisible “safecoins”, even. At the moment, Intercoin may be one of the only ambitious projects with non-divisible coins.
